When we received the car, the seats, door panels
and package shelf had been upholstered in tan cloth and a previous
owner painted(!) the leather brown. Fortunately, the original leather
color was still visible inside the tunnel cover. A close match
to the original leather was sourced from Bill
Hirsch. Not quite as orange as the original, but lovely with
the metallic grey paint. As is also common
on early Ferraris, the seat foam was badly deteriorated. All new
panels were fabricated and the seats were completely rebuilt.
The headliner was not replaced, but all trim was recovered with
correct material from RE Originals. The only thing we were not
certain of was the original color of the carpet as the carpet in
the car was of the bathroom shag variety. We settled on brown Wilton
carpet from World Upholstery and new jute backing from RE Originals.
